NASCAR Phoenix TV Ratings

ESPN’s live telecast of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Phoenix International Raceway on Sunday, Nov. 10, earned a 2.7 U.S. household rating, averaging 4,271,141 viewers, according to Nielsen Media. The rating and viewership numbers were slightly lower than those for last year’s race, which earned a 2.8 rating with 4,423,473 average viewers.

Of the 8 races in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup that have been run and telecast as scheduled, six have had ratings and viewership that were higher than last year. The first race at Chicagoland Speedway was rain-delayed.

ESPN2’s live telecast of the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Phoenix on Saturday, Nov. 9, earned a 1.0 U.S. household rating, averaging 1,391,586 viewers. The rating was the same as the 2012 rating while the viewership average for 2012 was 1,532,748.
