Mackenzie Says CVC Would Fire F1’s Ecclestone If He Is Guilty
CVC co-Founder & co-Chair Donald Mackenzie today said that the F1 rights holder "would not hesitate to sack" F1 CEO Bernie Ecclestone "if he had committed a crime in his dealings with a jailed German banker." Mackenzie in a hearing at London's High Court denied that Ecclestone "was being kept in his post because of his importance to the business." Ecclestone is facing a $100M damages claim over "allegations that he sold the business for too little when CVC became the largest shareholder" in '05. REUTERS
