Ken Gregory (1926-2013)

The death has been announced of Ken Gregory (87), one of the most significant men in motor racing during the 1950s and early 1960s. As Stirling Moss’s manager, he was a major influence on the career of one of Britain’s most famous sportsmen. He also, with Sir Stirling’s father, Alfred, ran his own team, the British Racing Partnership. In both capacities he paved the way in which motorsport has developed, particularly when he became the first person to secure full sponsorship for a Formula One team. He was later to become a successful publisher and to run his own airline.
