Welsh Government To Provide $2.5M To Wales Rally GB Over Next Two Years

The Welsh Government is to give £1.5M ($2.5M) "to the Wales Rally GB over the next two years," according to SKY SPORTS. Economy Minister Edwina Hart is hoping the organizers "can build on the success of last year's event, which attracted thousands of supporters." Hart said, "We want to maximize the benefits coming to Wales and build on this momentum which is why I have agreed in principle funding for Wales Rally GB over the next two years." Sky Sports.

NEWS NORTH WALES' Dean Jones reported organizers said that last year’s event, held in November, "was one of the most successful on record, with tens of thousands of spectators flocking to the event bringing a multi-million pound boost to the area, according to the Welsh Government."
