F1 legend Niki Lauda among presenters at today’s Golden Globe Awards 

Three-time Formula One World Champion Niki Lauda, whose epic battle for the 1976 title with the late James Hunt is at the core of Ron Howard’s recent film “Rush," will be among those presenting awards for Sunday’s 2014 Golden Globe Awards (8 p.m. ET, NBC).

“Rush" could walk away with several awards tomorrow night in Beverly Hills. Daniel Bruhl, who played Lauda in the film, is nominated for Best Supporting Actor. He’ll be up against Barkhad Abdi (“Captain Phillips"), Bradley Cooper (“American Hustle"), Michael Fassbender (“12 Years A Slave"), and Jared Leto (“Dallas Buyers Club").

The film itself is also nominated for Best Motion Picture, Drama, taking on “12 Years A Slave," “Captain Phillips," “Philomena," and “Gravity." In addition, the Associated Press reports that Chris Hemsworth, who played Hunt in “Rush," will help Lauda introduce the film during the awards ceremony.

According to BoxOfficeMojo, “Rush" garnered almost $27 million at the U.S. box office, while taking in an additional $63.3 million in foreign sales. It is set to be released in Digital HD this Tuesday, Jan. 14, and in a Bluray combo pack on Jan. 28.

The Golden Globes are voted upon by the members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
