Rolex 24 Hour 21: #10 Still in Front

We’ve hit the 21-hour mark in the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona. Jordan Taylor has taken over for brother Ricky in the #10 Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette, and currently leads second-place John Martin in the #9 Action Express Corvette by less than a second.

Shortly after getting in the #10, the younger Taylor had something of a nerve-wracking moment as he went off course to avoid a spinning PC car in front of him. The Wayne Taylor team called him, cleaned the grill and sent him back out. It is expected that Max Angelleli will take over for Jordan for the final stint.

Sebastien Bourdais has taken over for Christian Fittipaldi in the #5 Action Express machine to make it a Corvette 1-2-3 at the front of the field. Fittipaldi had been complaining of shifting difficulties in the #5. However, Bourdais seems to have not had the same difficulties.

Tony Kanaan, currently piloting the #02 Chip Ganassi Racing Ford EcoBoost, remains one lap behind in fourth place. Two laps behind is the #6 Muscle Milk Nissan Oreca currently being driven by Klaus Graf. Michael Valiante has the #90 Spirit of Daytona Corvette in sixth, three laps off the pace.

Richard Lietz continues to lead the GTLM class in the #911 Porsche. Jon Bennett has taken over for Colin Braun and leads the PC class in the #54 Oreca FLM09. The Level 5 Motorsports #555 Ferrari 458 Italia is still on top in GTD.
