Risi Competizione’s Matteo Malucelli released from hospital

Risi Competizione's driver of the No.62 Ferrari 458 Italia, Matteo Malucelli, spent a comfortable night at Halifax Health following his admission yesterday afternoon after his high speed accident during the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

After being fully assessed by the medical staff, he has now been released from hospital and will be travelling back to Italy tomorrow.

Matteo, his family and Risi Competizione wish to thank everyone at Halifax Health and IMSA Medical Liaisons for their excellent and comprehensive care over the past 24 hours. The team also sends its best wishes to Memo Gidley, driver of the No.99 Gainsco entry, and we join the entire motor sport community in wishing him a full and speedy recovery.

There is no further information available at the present time as to what caused the Ferrari to slow on track, but details will be released in due course.
