EnerSys will become an integral partner with Team Penske and will have its ODYSSEY Battery brand on the b-post of the No. 22 NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) Ford Mustang beginning in Daytona.

EnerSys is the largest industrial battery manufacturer in the world, operating manufacturing and assembly facilities worldwide for customers in over 100 countries with worldwide headquarters located in Reading, Pennsylvania and regional headquarters in Europe and Asia. EnerSys is positioned to provide expertise in designing, building, installing and maintaining a comprehensive stored energy solution for industrial applications throughout the world.

The company's products and services are focused on three primary markets – motive power, reserve power and aerospace & defense. Commonly known EnerSys® brands include PowerSafe, Genesis, ODYSSEY Battery, Ironclad and General Battery brands among many others.

“We welcome EnerSys to Team Penske and we are excited about this new relationship," said Roger Penske. “EnerSys is a worldwide company with established and well-known brands. We look forward to integrating these brands and the company into our championship-winning teams competing in NASCAR."

Team Penske has won three NASCAR championships over the last four years, including the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series title with Brad Keselowski. Keselowski also won the 2010 NASCAR NNS crown, while Team Penske earned the 2013 NNS owner’s title.

“To be able to partner with Team Penske is a great opportunity and something we jumped at being a part of," said EnerSys President – Americas Todd Sechrist. “Roger Penske and everyone involved with the team are top notch and have already been very accommodating. The ability to build EnerSys and our various brands of batteries to the motorsports market is something we see as a huge opportunity. It will also allow us to work on some great business-to-business programs with the other Team Penske sponsors, which will be a ‘win-win’ for everyone."
