War on driving is spot on, opens us up to ‘zapping’

A reader writes, Dear AR1.com, Your editorial re car tracking by Stephan Cox is spot on, but misses one major element. Once cars are fitted with this technology, and can “communicate" with each other, which is the follow-up intention as is already under development in the EU, then the potential for someone to use their car’s system, by adding a plug in control computer to “talk to", or take over, elements of the control of cars around them.

So, if someone wants to get somewhere in a hurry and there is another car in the fast lane slowing them down, well then, zap them and drive them off the road and crash to give room! Think you how easy this will be when brakes, steering are all fly-by-wire! Alan Wilson
