Drivers announced for Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach Pro/Celebrity Race
The 38th annual charity race will take place April 12 as part of the 40th Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.
Among the professionals in this year’s race will be six-time Long Beach Grand Prix winner Al Unser Jr. Little Al took first place overall in the 1985 and 2009 celebrity races. Other pros include NASCAR racer and Fox personality Kyle Petty and last year’s celebrity winner Rutledge Wood, co-host of “Top Gear USA."
Other celebrities in the race are soap star Eric Braeden (“The Young and the Restless"); actor-dancer Corbin Bleu (“High School Musical"); actor Brett Davern (MTV’s “Awkward"); actor Colin Egglesfield (“Rizzoli & Isles"); actor Cole Hauser (who will appear with Johnny Depp in the soon-to-be-released “Transcendence"); TV personality Phil Keoghan (host of “Amazing Race"); actress Vanessa Marcil (“General Hospital"); radio entertainment reporter Lisa Stanley (K-EARTH morning show); actor Max Thieriot (“Bates Motel"); actor Nick Wechsler (“Revenge"), and actor Sam Witwer (“Being Human").
Since 1991, Toyota has donated more than $2 million to the Racing for Kids organization on behalf of the Pro/Celebrity race and its participants.
