Mistic Hosts Rally in St. Pete for IndyCar Driver Sebastien Bourdais
"We are thrilled to be hosting this event and give St. Pete race fans the opportunity to get an up close look at the IndyCar experience."
The rally will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Circle K store at 5th Ave. and 34th St., celebrating Bourdais as he prepares for the March 30 IndyCar Series opener, the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.
IndyCar fans and enthusiasts are invited to attend the rally, which will exhibit the Mistic Machine Indy show car, as well as race simulators, where drivers can test their skills behind the virtual wheel of an IndyCar. Bourdais also will be available to sign autographs and take photographs with fans.
"We are thrilled to be hosting this event and give St. Pete race fans the opportunity to get an up close look at the IndyCar experience," said John Wiesehan Jr., CEO at Mistic. “Sebastien Bourdais is a proven champion and we are all excited to be part of the support team for this great driver."
The Mistic Machine National Tour will be making stops at various cities in the United States, bringing an IndyCar experience to race fans across America. Those in the mood for speed can race in one of Mistic’s virtual simulators and get the chance to meet members of the Mistic Pit Crew, who will be on hand to help adult smokers switch to a unique alternative such as e-cigarettes.
The 35-year-old Bourdais signed a two-year deal with KVSH Racing last year. The French driver has 31 victories, 15 on road courses and 12 on street courses. He’s also won on ovals, twice at Las Vegas, and once at Milwaukee.
