Ferrari ends Bahrain test early
(GMM) Ferrari abandoned the second and final day of post-race testing in Bahrain on Wednesday.
Before the test, having finished just ninth in the grand prix, Spaniard Fernando Alonso said the Italian team "will work night and day" to improve during the test.
But after doing 69 laps on Tuesday, Alonso managed just 12 laps on Wednesday before he was "called to a halt when the chassis was found to be damaged".
Ferrari added that it "decided to bring the test to a premature end as a precautionary measure".
Reports said it was Kimi Raikkonen's race chassis that was being used in testing this week, but it was damaged when the Finn was launched over the curbs in Friday practice.
