Mavericks singer to perform National Anthem at Indy Race

American singer, songwriter, guitarist and producer, Raul Malo, will be this year's National Anthem singer at Verizon IndyCar Series Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park April 25-27. Malo is the Cuban-American lead singer of the Grammy-winning band The Mavericks. "Here Comes the Rain" and "Dance the Night Away" are just a few of their most recognizable songs.

"We are thrilled about having Raul Malo sing the National Anthem at Barber Motorsports Park," said Rick Humphrey, vice president of ZOOM Motorsports. "The Mavericks are a legend in the entertainment industry and he is another exciting addition to kick-off Sunday's main event race."

The Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama will take place April 25-27 at Barber Motorsports Park. Tickets start at $15 and kids 12 and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult.
