Red Bull F1 team announces new sponsor

Infiniti Red Bull Racing is delighted to announce a partnership with SCOTT Sports, leading manufacturer of high-end cycling, running, moto and wintersports products. As official team supplier for Infiniti Red Bull Racing, SCOTT will supply various accessories to the pit crew such as the super-lightweight SCOTT Picton full face helmet and SCOTT LCG goggles.

"Racing is in our blood, no matter if moto or muscle power," says SCOTT Sports vice president Pascal Ducrot. “We share the same passion, that's why we are super excited to team up with Infiniti Red Bull Racing and are proud to supply the most innovative F1 team with our products."

SCOTT have a long history of pioneering carbon fiber sports products and an excellent reputation for developing aerodynamic bicycle technology, presenting many opportunities within the new partnership for technology transfer. The initial intention of the partnership is to hold technical collaboration forums in the areas of carbon fiber technology and aerodynamics.

"The new partnership with SCOTT is a great fit for the team," says Christian Horner. “SCOTT has worked hard to create a bespoke pit crew helmet solution which will be a good step forward for us, both in terms of safety and performance. This is another example of Infiniti Red Bull Racing seeking expertise from a class-leading supplier to help us improve our operation."

In addition to pit gear, SCOTT will also supply the team with vital equipment to use when work in the garage is finished. SCOTT cycling and running gear will be available to the crew, drivers, engineers and senior management, as will a range of SCOTT Foil Team Issue road bikes. The multiple UCI World Tour stage-winning machines will come in a special Infiniti Red Bull Racing edition and will be travelling to races for the benefit of those who like to end the working day lapping the track on two wheels rather than on foot.

“The bespoke Team bikes and training gear will also be valuable tools in ensuring that our race team stay in the best possible condition at the track," adds Christian.
