Trevor Bayne To Run Full Cup Season in 2015
Roush-Fenway Racing announced today the iconic no. 6 Ford Fusion will return full-time to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in 2015 with driver Trevor Bayne behind the wheel and sponsorship from AdvoCare.
Bayne, the 2011 Daytona 500 winner, has been running in the NASCAR Nationwide Series for the last four seasons as well as a partial Sprint Cup schedule including four Cup starts this year.
The 2015 season will mark the first full-time run for the no. 6 car since 2011. The no. 6 was the first car team owner Jack Roush fielded when he started in the Cup series back in 1988 with driver Mark Martin, who went on to win 35 races over a 20-year stint with the team.
