Power tops opening practice in Houston

Under sweltering heat and humidity, Verizon Penske driver Will Power topped opening practice for the Shell GP of Houston IndyCar race with a lap of 1m00.443s in his Chevy. That was enough to top the Honda of Simon Pagenaud who lapped at 1m00.696s.

Sebastien Bourdais, Takuma Sato and Tony Kanaan rounded out the top-5.

The Hondas and Chevys appear to be fairly evenly matched so far this weekend.
