German Touring Car Championship Race In China Won’t Go As Planned
The German Touring Car Championship (DTM) "will not run its second to last race as planned on a city course in Guangzhou," according to the SID. The ninth round of the '14 season was supposed to take place at a city circuit in the south Chinese city on Sept. 28. However, it turned out that construction work for the track was "too extensive." Hans Werner Aufrecht, exec chairman of DTM rights holder ITR, said, "Guangzhou can't be prepared in the short period of time, and we will race at an alternative location." Despite the news, the ninth round "is still expected to take place in China." SID
