NASCAR Sprint Cup, Nationwide Series Going Road Racing

The NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series go road course racing at historic Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International Aug. 9-10 and both races will be televised live. The NASCAR Sprint Cup race airs Sunday, Aug. 10, on ESPN, with NASCAR Countdown at noon ET and the green flag at 1:18 p.m. The NASCAR Nationwide Series race on Saturday, Aug. 9, airs on ABC at 2 p.m. with a 2:33 p.m. green flag. Also from The Glen, ESPN2 will air NASCAR Sprint Cup qualifying on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and Nationwide Series qualifying earlier that day at 9:30 a.m. All NASCAR programming on ESPN and ESPN2 is available on computers, smartphones, tablets, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Apple TV, Roku and Amazon Fire TV via WatchESPN, accessible to fans who receive ESPN’s linear networks as part of their video subscription from an affiliate provider.

The NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series has the weekend off but NHRA fans can still get their fill of their favorite sport with three programs airing on ESPN2 Aug. 9-10. Action from the recent NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event in Seattle airs Sunday, Aug. 10, at noon ET. In addition, episodes of NHRA Thrills and Spills air on Saturday, Aug. 9, at 11 a.m. and on Sunday at 11:30 a.m.
