NHRA Postpones Funny Car and Pro Stock finals
NHRA officials have postponed the finals for Funny Car and the semi-final rounds for Pro Stock after numerous delays during Sunday's Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals at Brainerd International Raceway pushed the event into the evening hours. With no lighting system installed at the facility, officials were forced to suspend racing for the day.
The events will now be run during qualifying for the 60th-annual U.S. Nationals at Indianapolis on Sept. 30.
The Funny Car final will feature John Force vs. Ron Capps, while the Pro Stock semi-finals will pit Jason Line against Dave River and Vincent Nobile against Jeg Coughlin.
The Top Fuel division managed to complete their final round, with Morgan Lucas beating out Doug Kalitta for his third Top Fuel victory.
