Kevin Harvick wins Chicagoland Nationwide race

Kevin Harvick earns his fourth Nationwide win of 2014.

Kevin Harvick earned his fourth win of 2014 in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, leading 43 laps on his way to victory in the Jimmy John's Freaky Fast 300 Powered by Coca-Cola at Chicagoland Speedway.

The win was his third series triumph at the Joliet, Illinois facility, tying him with Kyle Busch for most Nationwide victories at the track. Harvick took the lead for good at Lap 161 shortly after taking two tires while Busch, who led 141 of the 200 laps, took four.

Kyle Larson, Busch, Ryan Blaney and Trevor Bayne rounded out the top five.

Nationwide points leader and Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender Chase Elliott finished 10th, losing points to JR Motorsports teammate Regan Smith, who finished seventh. Elliott now leads Smith by 18 markers.

The race was the first of a doubleheader of NASCAR national series racing as the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Lucas Oil 225 was delayed by rain from Friday to Saturday at 7 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 2.
