Teenager borrows neighbor’s Lamborghini, gets killed in test drive

A short test drive of a Lamborghini Gallardo has ended up tragically for an 18-year old kid who lost his life while driving the neighbor's supercar. According to Wrecked Exotics, the young man has asked permission to take the Gallardo out for a spin and lost control of the wheel in Mount Sinai, Long Island NY, due to excessive speed. The young man was killed in the crash and the 49-year old passenger survived. The supercar was completely destroyed in the incident.
The Lamborghini Gallardo has been replaced recently by the Huracan. The supercar was assembled between 2003 and 2013 in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy. It was designed by Giugiaro and offered in two body styles, coupe and roadster, with a mid-engine and all-wheel drive or a mid-engine and rear-wheel drive layout, depending on the version Power was being provided by either a 5.0 liter V10 or by a 5.2 liter V10 engine, connected to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automated manual transmission.
