UPDATE Two more photos. You can see from the damage that the top of the car in front of driver must have gone under the tractor and the roll hoop was sheared off. Therefore, one can assume his helmet must have impacted the tractor as well. Where are fighter jet canopies on open wheel cars when you need them? Remember, they are called open wheel cars, not open cockpit cars so this nonsense that F1 and IndyCars should not have canopies is just that – nonsense. Some would go so far as to call it negligence.
