Antonio Pizzonia will make a great return to Auto GP this weekend in Estoril teaming up with Austrian outfit Zele Racing
Pizzonia, who drove for Jaguar Racing and BMW Williams in Formula One in the 2000's, will be back behind the wheel of an Auto GP car for the upcoming round in Portugal.
The Brazilian made his series debut in 2012, entering the round at Curitba celebrating two straight victories. He stayed in the series for the US races in Sonoma, where he competed for Zele Racing, the team he will be running for in Estoril.
The Austrian squad will field a completely revamped line-up, as the other car will be fielded for Angolan rookie Luis Sa Silva.
The 24-year-old Angolan will use the GP3 Series break after the inaugural Russian Grand Prix, to race with Zele.
Teamboss Michael Zele is happy to have the new pairing on board saying: “We will have a highly talented duo on the grid in Estoril and I am already excited to see, what they can pull off. I have known both drivers for quite some time and I am sure, we can round off the season on a high."
Both races will be held on Sunday – starting 11:50 am and 6:30 pm local time – and broadcast live on Eurosport.
