Only Three Races Left in Chase for NASCAR Sprint Cup

The 10-race Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup is down to the final three races to determine the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup champion, with Round 8 on Sunday, Nov. 2, at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth. ESPN will have a live telecast of the 500-mile race, with NASCAR Countdown presented by 5-Hour energy at 2 p.m. ET and the race’s green flag at 3:16 p.m. The telecast is presented by Federated Auto Parts. The race will air in Spanish on ESPN Deportes on Nov. 3 at 5 a.m. Extended post-race will air on ESPN SportsCenter with analyst Ricky Craven in the studio and NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Carl Edwards providing additional analysis from the track. ESPN2 also will air NASCAR Sprint Cup qualifying at Texas on Friday, Oct. 31, at 6:30 p.m. The track also will hold a 300-mile NASCAR Nationwide Series race on Saturday, Nov. 1, and the race will air live on ESPN at 3:30 p.m., with the green flag at 3:46 p.m. ESPN Deportes will air the race at 4 a.m. on Nov. 1. ESPN2 will air NASCAR Nationwide Series practice on Friday at 4:30 p.m. All NASCAR programming on ESPN is available on computers, smartphones, tablets, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360 and Xbox One via WatchESPN, accessible to fans who receive ESPN’s linear networks as part of their video subscription from an affiliate provider.

Championships in all four professional classes are on the line as the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season nears its conclusion with the NHRA Toyota Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Oct. 31-Nov. 2. The event is the next-to-last in the Countdown to the Championship and qualifying and eliminations action will air on ESPN2 and ESPN3.
