• Speed secured the pole position during qualifying in the Las Vegas debut of the No. 77 7UP Volkswagen Beetle.
• The California native captured the win in Heat 1A at The LINQ in Las Vegas for the Red Bull Global Rallycross season finale.

"The 7UP Beetle was great today. We obviously didn't expect to have so much speed in qualifying, but that was an added bonus. Our pole position has shown all the hard work that the Volkswagen Andretti Rallycross team has put into this machine the past month or so. It's very inspiring for the future because the Beetle is just going to get stronger. We're still very much in the development phase of the Beetle and the fact that its performance is starting to show through is really great for everyone on the team."

• The two-time Global Rallycross champion captured the win in Heat 1C.
• Foust has won the last two out of three Global Rallycross season finale events in Las Vegas.

"It was a great first day having two Beetles on the track. There has been a lot of development with the Beetle during the last three Global Rallycross events. In Vegas, the cars have shown a ton of potential which both Scott and I winning our Heat rounds. The team is very excited to be running a new car, we know how much run time is on each component and we know how much run time to expect from each turbo and gearbox. It's very well engineered from the ground up. Everyone is in good spirits and team morale is high going into day two. Scott (Speed) has a good chance to pull off a championship for Volkswagen's first season."
