NASCAR Talladega TV Rating (Update)

UPDATE Due to a minor crediting error for ESPN that has been corrected by Nielsen, the rating and viewership for the Oct. 19 NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Talladega Superspeedway is higher than originally reported. The final national rating for the race telecast is now a 3.0, not a 2.7 as was originally reported, with a viewership average of 4,757,000, not 4,328,000 as originally reported. The 2013 race earned a 3.1 rating with an average viewership of 4,916,000.

10/20/14 ESPN drew a 2.7 overnight for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Geico 500 from Talladega Superspeedway, flat compared to the same race last season.

The NASCAR Truck Series race at Talladega drew a 1.0 overnight rating on FOX.
