Yelloly promoted to win in GP3 season finale in Abu Dhabi

Status Grand Prix driver Nick Yelloly has been given victory in the final race of the GP3 Series season in Abu Dhabi.

A statement from GP3 read: 'Following the result of race 2, stewards have excluded Patric Niederhauser from the official results. They found his number 5 Arden International car does not conform to the rear upper wing angle specification. This a breach of Art,4.3.4 of the GP3 Series Technical Regulations and therefore exclusion from the race applies.

'Therefore, Status Grand Prix's Nick Yelloly has been handed victory – his first in his GP3 career. This promotes Alex Lynn to second and Emil Bernstorff to third.'

This represents Status GP's third win of the 2014 GP3 season. It also moves Yelloly up to sixth in the season standings, and promotes Richie Stanaway to seventh position in the race results.
