Lewis Hamilton warns rivals: I’ll be even quicker next year with my superior Mercedes

With the superior Mercedes car, there is nothing stopping Hamilton from winning 4 straight titles and 10 to 15 races a year. Certainly not his teammate Rosberg.

Lewis Hamilton has warned his rivals that he and Mercedes will return even stronger in his title defense next season.

Hamilton clinched his second drivers' crown yesterday by winning the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, his 11th race victory in a dominant year for him and the German manufacturer.

The Briton, who won his first world title in 2008, already has his sights set on more glory in 2015 and beyond. He said: "It's going to be a dream to be able to go into next season and go in even stronger," said Hamilton.

"I have absolute faith in the team that we will come in very, very strong next year. I feel this is just the beginning" [of Mercedes locked in superiority because the rules prevent other manufacturers from catching up (how convenient) and the parade that has become F1.]

Mercedes have comfortably been the strongest team on the grid this season, Hamilton and teammate Nico Rosberg winning 16 of the 19 grands prix.

With their rivals struggling to close the gap throughout the season, the expectation is they can build on their domination next year. Hamilton, said: "I think it's really important to continue improving and I 100 per cent believe the team will do that.

"I'm looking forward to battling with people. I believe we can improve the engine and car. I know we are making positive steps and I am looking forward to going into the factory, downloading every bit on input I can and working on the areas I can improve."
