Kimi Raikkonen hallucinating
Kimi Raikkonen looks like a deer in headlights. He is hallucinating if he things Ferrari is going to make gains against the Mercedes powered teams – the rules are frozen. They will only widen the gap if anything. |
Kimi Raikkonen says Ferrari has everything it needs to recover from a difficult 2014 campaign, in which the team placed fourth in the Constructors' Championship.
Ferrari endured its first winless season since 1993 with Raikkonen finishing 12th overall, the lowest placing for a full-time driver for the team in over 30 years.
But the Finn, who will line-up alongside four-time World Champion Sebastian Vettel in 2015, is confident that the team has the resources to move up the grid.
"It's not been an easy year for me or the team," admitted Raikkonen.
"Ferrari is always expected to win races and fight at the front. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case, but for the next season we laid down the basis for Ferrari to come back to the level it should be at.
"There's a lot of work to do but we know which areas we need to improve on. This job has already started and in the factory, we have everything we need, in terms of personnel and the means to make the necessary progress.
"All we need to do is work as a team, in the unified way that typified this team in past years.
"I'm sure the 2015 car will be much more competitive, although we will have to wait for the first test session to see where we really stand."
Raikkonen added that he sees no reason why he and new team-mate Vettel cannot make progress.
"Sebastian is a friend and I'm happy to be working with him," he said.
"I think we can work well together as a team, pushing each other to the limit on track for the good of the team, as we aim to get it back to where it should be." GPUpdate.net
