Braille Battery Added to Indy Lights Partners Line-Up

Andersen Promotions is pleased to announce a long-term partnership agreement with Braille Battery as the Official Battery of Indy Lights Presented By Cooper Tires. The Braille MICRO-LiTE ML20C Lithium battery will power the all-new Dallara IL-15 race car through 2020. Braille MICRO-LiTE Lithium batteries were developed in Formula 1 and share components with the lithium batteries used exclusively in the Verizon IndyCar Series.

"We are very pleased to welcome Braille Battery to our outstanding group of partners and to provide our competitors with their high performance batteries and technology," said Dan Andersen, Owner and CEO of Andersen Promotions. "With our new partnership in Indy Lights, Braille Battery is now entrenched in the full Mazda Road to Indy ladder which will benefit our teams across the board."

The lead-free Braille MICRO-LiTE ML20C Lithium battery is RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliant and is part of Braille Battery's "Green Start" program which is dedicated to finding more efficient ways to increase performance and make eco-minded batteries a part of tomorrow's technology today.

"We are very pleased to supply battery technology to the entire Mazda Road to Indy Ladder from the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda through the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires and Indy Lights in addition to the Verizon IndyCar Series," said Blake Fuller, President of Braille Battery.

"This is a leap forward in battery technology for open-wheel racing that has its roots in our original designs for Formula 1. Working with Dallara on the current DW12 Indy car design helped accelerate our efforts and forge a relationship with Dan Andersen and his team at Andersen Promotions. We look forward to building our relationships with all the series' teams and officials by providing the latest Lithium battery technology."

Braille Battery recently was named the control lithium battery supplier for the V8 Supercars Championship, an FIA-sanctioned international sedan series based in Australia using the MICRO-LiTE B128L lithium battery. In addition, many leading factory sports car race teams, including Corvette, Ferrari, Porsche, Audi, Mercedes, Aston Martin, Lamborghini and Jaguar, as well as many of the prototype cars, use the latest Braille Lithium Battery starting technology.
