Red Bull offers $16K reward for stolen trophies

Red Bull has offered a $16,000 reward for information that leads to the conviction of those who stole over 60 trophies from its factory.

CCTV footage of the men who used a 4×4 to gain access to the Milton Keynes premises was shown on BBC Crimewatch on Wednesday.

Thames Valley Police noted a "positive" response to the appeal, led by Red Bull team boss Christian Horner, stating that a dozen calls were made immediately afterwards.

"It was a pointless crime," said Horner. "The value of these trophies is minimal in terms of the raw material but the emotional value is huge.

"It would be great to see these trophies back in their rightful home here in Milton Keynes."

Around 20 of the trophies were recovered from Horseshoe Lake, near Sandhurst, 10 days after the burglary, having been spotted by a member of the public.
