Onroak Announces Ligier JS P3 for LMP3

Ligier JS P3

Onroak Automotive announced Monday that it will build a car for the new LMP3 category, revealing plans for the Ligier JS P3.

The French prototype, which carries the lineage of the Ligier JS P2 (LMP2) and JS 53 EVO (CN) cars, will take advantage of its close links to the LMP2 car, in particular with the design and aerodynamics.

It marks the second all-new prototype to be built from Onroak, which has now established a complete prototype ladder, from CN to LMP2.

"This Ligier JS P3 confirms our ambitions to design and sell a complete range of sports prototypes for endurance," said Onroak Automotive President Jacques Nicolet. "We were already present with success on the market for the CN and LMP2 categories.

"Backed by our know-how, our experience, and the time we've given ourselves for its design and development we're convinced that this new car will be a success.

"We'd like to build up a real endurance ladder and accompany our clients from one category to the next."

The car will be presented at this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans and is expected to be made available to customer teams by September, for use in both the European and Asian Le Mans Series.

Onroak joins Ginetta, LAS Motorsport and Riley Technologies as LMP3 constructors.
