Jerez Day 4: Lewis Hamilton spins out as Raikkonen & Ferrari again fastest
While Mercedes sandbags, Kimi Raikkonen was again fastest for Ferrari |
Lewis Hamilton had a morning to forget on Wednesday after he spun out of testing, hours after it emerged he had split from his long-term girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger.
The British driver had completed 43 laps on the final day of this season’s opening winter test in Jerez, before he appeared to lose control of his Mercedes.
Hamilton stepped out of the cockpit and was a forlorn figure as he stared at his stricken car.
Ferrari led the way yet again with Kimi Raikkonen setting the pace at the start of day four in Spain.
The Scuderia's SF15-T topped the first two days of running with Sebastian Vettel, and Raikkonen picked up where his new teammate left off by going fastest on Tuesday morning.
