NASCAR indefinitely suspends Kurt Busch

Kurt Busch

We should have something official shortly. However, multiple outlets are reporting that NASCAR has indefinitely suspended driver Kurt Busch, in the wake of his pending domestic violence charges, and the recent protective order issued against him from contacting or going near his ex-girlfriend Patricia Driscoll. Also, a written statement today by Kent Count (Delaware) commissioner David Jones noted it "more likely than not" Busch "committed an act of abuse."

We will pass along more information as we receive it. However, Busch has been indefinitely suspended, something NASCAR is expected to announce at 6:40 p.m. ET. Reportedly, Regan Smith will replace him in the #41 car in Sunday's Daytona 500.
