KVSH Racing’s Sebastien Bourdais had a successful day of testing today at Sebring International Raceway, Florida.
Bourdais, who will be celebrating his 36th birthday on Saturday, will pilot the No. 11 Team HYDROXYCUT/MISTIC E-Cigs – KVSH Racing Chevrolet/Dallara/Firestone machine for the 2015 Verizon IndyCar Series season.
In the morning session he ran 33 laps and ended up second on the timing sheets with a time of 53.521 seconds. By the afternoon, the four-time IndyCar champion and only driver to win four consecutive titles (2004-2007), had run a total of 143 laps and finished the day fifth with his best time of 53.188 seconds coming on his penultimate lap.
Commenting on how his third test of the season has gone, Bourdais said, “It’s been a good day for the Team Hydroxycut/Mistic KVSH team. We finally got to tick off the list all the items we wanted to try during the off season, so that was important. I had a great work out running just over 140 laps and it was good to get everyone back in the groove after our first test at NOLA a few weeks ago. We will continue to keep understanding the car and hopefully find that sweet spot. Obviously when we test at NOLA again in a few weeks, we will have the Chevrolet-developed aero-kit, so it will be a totally different ball game, but I’m excited and ready to have fun with it."
KVSH Racing will resume testing March 14th at NOLA Motorsports Park before heading to the Barber Open Test, March 16-17 at Barber Motorsports Park. The 2015 Verizon IndyCar season commences March 27-29 with the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida.
