Xfinity Series: Harvick to drive #88 Chevrolet in Atlanta
Kevin Harvick |
DRIVER: Kevin Harvick / No. 88 Bad Boy Buggies Chevrolet
RACE: Hisense 250 (163 laps / 250 miles)
TRACK: Atlanta Motor Speedway
DATE: Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015
Quotes | Kevin Harvick
"Atlanta (Motor Speedway) has been a great race track for me the last few years. The track surface is really worn out and the speed of the car changes a lot from the start to the finish of any given run. It makes for some good hard racing as the cars start moving and sliding around the track.
"It would also be great to get JR Motorsports their first win of the season in the No. 88 Bad Boy Buggies Chevrolet. As an organization, JR Motorsports was really strong on the mile-and-a-half tracks last year and hopefully I can continue that this weekend."

Kevin Harvick celebrating his win last August in Atlanta |
TWO-TIME DEFENDING WINNER: Kevin Harvick has every right to be confident heading into the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. He has three NXS victories at the 1.5-mile oval, including going two-for-two in the series’ most recent trips to Atlanta (August 2013 and 2014).
HARVICK’S 2015 JRM SCHEDULE: Atlanta is the first of 12 races that Harvick is scheduled to run in the No. 88 Chevrolet for JRM. Following this weekend, he’ll compete in races at Phoenix (March 14), Auto Club (March 21), Bristol (April 18), Richmond (April 24), Charlotte (May 23), Michigan (June 13), Indianapolis (July 25), the Bristol night race (Aug. 21), Darlington (Sept. 5), Kansas (Oct. 17) and Texas (Nov. 7).
ONE FAST CHASSIS: The No. 88 team will unload with chassis No. 892 this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway. In four starts, it has one win, three top-five and four top-10 finishes. Harvick has led the most laps in three of four races with it, including his dominant win at Atlanta last year, ultimately leading a total of 34.4 percent of all laps completed in chassis No. 892.
HARVICK IN 2014: In 15 NXS races with JRM last season, Harvick led 616 laps and garnered four wins, 12 top-five finishes and never finished outside of the top 10. His average starting position was 7.0 and his average finish was 3.3.
BAD BOY BUGGIES AND HARVICK: The Mississippi-based UTV manufacturer has enjoyed a very successful partnership with the two-time NXS champion. In his five races behind the wheel of the Bad Boy Buggies Chevrolet, Harvick has two wins and an average finishing position of 3.4.
