EFFORT Racing Hosts Paralyzed Veterans of America at Texas Grand Prix

AUSTIN, Tex.,– This weekend at the Grand Prix of Texas at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, EFFORT Racing and the Pirelli World Challenge are proud to host Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) for a weekend of racing and fund raising for America's heroes.

Since World War II, Paralyzed Veterans of America has been dedicated to providing injured service men and women with the tools necessary to create prosperous futures, and gain freedom and independence. In addition to serving veterans with paralyzing injuries, PVA is also dedicated to medical research and fighting for civil rights for people with disabilities.

In 2013, EFFORT Racing founded Champions Race for Charity, a campaign dedicated to using racing as a platform to support local charitable endeavors. That same year, PVA was selected as the benefactor for fund raising efforts at the Houston Grand Prix, and the relationship between the team and charity continued to grow. The EFFORT Ranch is also made available to Paralyzed Veterans of America as a place to rejuvenate and enjoy the outdoors.

"PVA has always been such an important cause to the EFFORT family," said Team Owner Chuck Toups. "You can't measure the amount of sacrifice they went through to fight for our freedom and the changes their lives have taken since their return. Integrating Paralyzed Veterans of America into our race events and hosting their members and staff at our cottage are just two small ways we can thank them for their service and contribute to the cause."

Two groups of 8-12 veterans will visit the season opening race event, one group on each race day, to get a unique behind-the-scenes experience of the Pirelli World Challenge. When the Pirelli World Challenge driver autograph sessions concludes Sunday at 1:00pm, the series will kick off a live, 20 minute auction at the EFFORT Racing Fan Zone, located in the main paddock. One of a kind items will be on display all day before going up for auction in the afternoon and include signed driver gear, team merchandise and race series collectibles. All proceeds for the auction will go to benefit Paralyzed Veterans of America. Race fans are highly encouraged to be on the lookout for these heroes and to also participate in the silent auction.
