Alonso completes first day in simulator
Fernando Alonso has completed a day in the simulator at McLaren headquarters as he nears the all-clear for his return to the Formula 1 ranks in Malaysia.
Alonso has been out of action since an accident during pre-season testing left him briefly unconscious and requiring three days of treatment in hospital, the Spaniard subsequently forced to miss the opening round of the 2015 season with McLaren.
Having outlined his intentions to return to the wheel of the MP4-30 at the Malaysian Grand Prix, Alonso returned to the UK to conduct a day of simulator work as a means of assessing his condition before he drives the car on track again.
