The top five finishing drivers in each point awarding event score points for their respective manufacturer, provided the driver was using one of four allotted engines.

VERIZON P1 CHAMPIONSHIP

Pos.

Driver Poles Points

The Verizon P1 Championship is an honor given to the driver who gets the most out of the Verizon P1 Award throughout the season. After each Verizon IndyCar Series event the driver points for the top qualifier will be placed into a special points tally. At the end of the season, the driver that best leverages their Verizon P1 Awards – and earns the most P1 Championship points – will earn the trophy.

Verizon P1 Championship points are based on points for the Verizon IndyCar Series Drivers' Championship, but can only be earned by the P1 winner at each event.
