CFH Racing lands Boyd Gaming for New Orleans
Boyd Gaming, one of the nation's largest casino entertainment companies, will have two of its local properties represented on CFH Racing's No. 67 car, while Boyd Gaming guests from throughout the area will be invited to the race. Additionally, CFH Racing drivers and owners will visit Treasure Chest Casino for a driver appearance this evening.
"I am excited for Boyd Gaming to join the CFH family," stated Wink Hartman, co-owner of CFH Racing. "Boyd Gaming represents the best in entertainment and all of CFH Racing is proud to represent them at NOLA this year."
CFH Racing will represent four Boyd Gaming casinos: Amelia Belle (Amelia, La.), Evangeline Downs (Opelousas, La.), IP Casino, Resort and Spa (Biloxi, Miss.) and Treasure Chest (Kenner, La.). Boyd Gaming, along with Amelia Belle and Treasure Chest, will appear on the No. 67 Hartman Oil Chevrolet, driven by Josef Newgarden.
The two CFH Racing drivers participating in this weekend's event, Newgarden and Luca Filippi, will be making an appearance at Treasure Chest tonight at 7:30 p.m. Team owners Ed Carpenter, Sarah Fisher and Wink Hartman will also be in attendance. The event is open to the public and fans are welcome to attend.
"As a long-time sponsor of motor sports events across the country, Boyd Gaming is proud to partner with CFH Racing in the Indy Grand Prix of Louisiana," said Chris Gibase, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Boyd Gaming. "Our customers are avid racing fans, and we're all looking forward to a great race on Sunday."
Sunday's race will be the first Verizon IndyCar Series event held at NOLA Motorsports Park. The track is part of a 750-acre facility on the west bank of the Mississippi River, approximately 15 miles from Downtown New Orleans. Though this is inaugural IndyCar event at NOLA Motorsports Park, the CFH Racing team is familiar with the circuit after visiting multiple times during the offseason for testing. The Indy Grand Prix of Alabama will feature 75 laps around the 2.74-mile, 13-turn road course.
