Stefano Coletti is excited to back on a street course and experience the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach for the first time this weekend.
Coletti will have the addition of King Taco on his No. 4 KV Racing Technology Chevrolet/Dallara/Firestone car as he cruises around the historic 1.968- mile, 12-turn temporary street circuit in downtown Long Beach, CA..
"I'm excited to race at Long Beach for the first time," said the 26-year-old. "From what I have seen it's a fast, bumpy track with some good passing opportunities, which will be a lot of fun. This will now be my third race for KV Racing Technology and the team have given me a great car at my previous two events so I am sure we’ll be just as competitive here too. I look forward to not only driving this historic track but also seeing the west coast for the first time."
At the end of March, the Monegasque made his Verizon IndyCar Series debut on the streets of St. Petersburg where he was extremely impressive on restarts, passing four cars on one lap. Last weekend at NOLA Motorsports Park, he went from 20th to 10th in 12 laps and was the biggest mover of the race before an incident at the very end.
The Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach will be broadcast live on NBCSports from 4pm ET. It will also be on XM 209, IMS IndyCar Radio affiliates, plus IndyCar.com and the Verizon INDYCAR 15 app.
