Chilton tops opening Lights practice

Carlin Motorsport's Max Chilton led opening Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires practice this afternoon at Long Beach.

The Juncos Racing pair of Spencer Pigot and Kyle Kaiser were second and third. Felix Serralles and Jack Harvey rounded out the top-5.

Series points leader Ed Jones, who swept the opening double header at St. Petersburg could only manage the 7th best time.

Practice session 2 for the Indy Lights Series will be tomorrow at 9:15 a.m. local time.
