Every year, the team at Audi Sport takes its R18 e-tron science project to Monza so that it can put the car's Le Mans aero kit through the wringer with serious high-speed testing.

Without fail, these test runs are recorded by trackside photographers. Without fail, the car sounds like some kind of spaceship when it streaks by—subdued yet full of fury.
