BHA Indy GP Notes & Quotes

Gabby Chaves

INDIANAPOLIS –The second Angie's List Grand Prix of Indianapolis kicks off the Month of May at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday May 9th (3:30pm ET, ABC). The 2.434-mile, 14-turn road course incorporates portions of Turns 1 and 2 and the front straight of the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval and the remainder of the circuit is within the infield, allowing for great spectator viewing.

Last year, weather played a role in qualifying. This year, the forecast calls for an 80% chance of rain on race day. Like the postal service, the BHA team will be prepared to deliver no matter what Mother Nature throws at us…

Gabby Chaves Quote on Angie's List GP of Indy:

"I'm really excited about this race for so many reasons. First, to have Angie's List be the title sponsor for the event and our primary sponsor this weekend makes it real special. Secondly, it's always awesome to be racing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. With the reconfiguration and repaving of the IMS road-course, it's a very fast and racy track. We're nearly 200mph on at the end of the straight before braking which gives us great opportunities to pass."
