Trulli wins pole in Berlin Update -Results added)
The Italian driver, who was renowned as a one-lap specialist in previous categories, posted his time in the first qualifying group extracting the most out of his car in the technical final sector.
Audi Sport ABT star and championship leader, Lucas di Grassi came closest to toppling Trulli from the top of the timesheets and will start in second place on the front row.
Monaco race winner Sebastien Buemi (e.dams-Renault) ended the session third ahead of home favourite Nick Heidfeld for Venturi. Di Grassi’s team-mate Daniel Abt starts fifth at his home ePrix alongside Dragon Racing driver Jerome D’Ambrosio.
Nicolas Prost (e.dams-Renault), Loic Duval (Dragon Racing), Stephane Sarrazin (Venturi) and Jean-Eric Vergne (Andretti) complete the top-10.
NEXTEV TCR driver and Long Beach winner, Nelson Piquet Jr could only manage 13th.
