Karam to pilot #8 Lexar Chevrolet at TMS
Sage Karam |
INDIANAPOLIS (June 4, 2015) – Chip Ganassi Racing (CGRT) announced today that rookie driver Sage Karam will sport the colors of Lexar in Round 9 of the Verizon IndyCar Series this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway.
As an extension of a long-standing partnership with CGRT, Lexar products continue to help CGRT enhance the way drivers and engineers gather data from the race cars. The team uses Lexar SD cards in on-board cameras that are mounted in the roll hoop of their Verizon IndyCar Series cars, as well as in cameras mounted above the pit stands to track pit stops by the crew. In addition, Lexar USB devices are used between the pit stand on pit lane and the engineering rooms on the transporters to transfer data.
The No. 8 Lexar Chevrolet will make its debut in the Firestone 600 at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday June 6 (8:00pm ET, NBCSN).
