Stefano Coletti |
STEFANO COLETTI
NO. 4 KVRT CHEVROLET/DALLARA/FIRESTONE/
"Back to street racing and something that I am used to and much more comfortable with. We did a great job in Detroit in terms of speed but unfortunately the weather wasn’t on our side. I am sure the team will give me a great car again and we will do well this weekend in Toronto so I think it will be a fun weekend."
Coletti sits 20th in the standings with 115 points.
- The 2015 Honda Indy Toronto will be Coletti’s 10th Verizon IndyCar Series start, 10th with KV Racing Technology, eighth on a road/street course and first on the streets of Toronto.
- Coletti has a great track record in Canada, having won both his Formula BMW races in Montreal in 2006.
- His best IndyCar finish on a road/street course is 8th (GP if Indy) and his best qualifying position is 8th (Detroit Race 1).
Sebastien Bourdais won Race 1 from pole last year in Toronto |
SEBASTIEN BOURDAIS
NO.11 TEAM HYDROXYCUT – KVSH RACING CHEVROLET/DALLARA/FIRESTONE
"Obviously the Toronto street circuit is one I enjoy racing on. We have had some good results there including the win last year, which was special because it was my first since coming back to IndyCar. It is also a very important race for the KVSH Racing team because our sponsor, Hydroxycut, has its headquarters nearby in Oakville, so it is like a home race for us and we are expecting a lot of support at the track. Toronto is always a great event. The city really supports the race, the track is challenging and the fans are knowledgeable. The Hydroxycut – KVSH Racing Chevrolet car has been fast on the street circuits this year and hopefully we can have a good result for the sponsors, their employees and guests and make up some ground in the championship standings."
Bourdais currently sits 7th in the championship standings with 244 points, just 17 away from 5th.
- The 2015 Honda Indy Toronto will be Bourdais’ 141st Verizon IndyCar Series start, 28th with KVSH Racing and 12th on the streets of Toronto (five in Champ Car).
- Bourdais is contesting his ninth Verizon IndyCar Series season (Champ Car, 5: IndyCar, 4. Drove one IndyCar event in 2005, the Indy 500).
- In 140 career Verizon IndyCar Series starts, Bourdais has won 33 races placing him eighth on the all-time list and earned 33 pole positions, tied for seventh all-time.
- Last year at Toronto, Bourdais captured his first pole and first victory since 2007 in Race 1 of the Honda Indy Toronto.
- In 11 previous starts in Toronto, Bourdais has finished in the top-10 10 times including six top-five finishes with two victories (2004, 2014). He has been on pole four times (2004, 2005, 2007 & 2014).
- Bourdais is the only driver to win four consecutive championships, taking the Champ Car World Series title in 2004 – 2007.
