Morning update from Toronto

Hotel X will be open in time for next year's race

Good morning from North of the border. It is raining here and gloomy but Saturday and Sunday should be nicer. Cooler temperatures and dry conditions are predicted for Saturday and Sunday. This year we will only have one race on Sunday instead of the doubleheader weekend.

The new hotel they are building in the center of the Exhibition Place is evident outside the windows of the media center. The view of pit lane is nonexistent with the new structure. The boutique hotel named Hotel X is expected to be open by next summer and would be ultra-convenient for staying close to the racing action. There will 5 restaurants, a tennis court and a swimming pool to keep guests occupied while staying in the middle of this large facility.

First practice is at 10:45 today. Hoping the rain stops and we get some practice in without rain tires.
