Austrian F1 GP TV Rating (Update)
UPDATE In the USA NBCSN's live telecast of the Austrian GP earned a miniscule 0.37 rating, with an average audience of 525,000 viewers. No USA drivers in a winning car so Americans have little interest. Ferrari would be wise to put Alexander Rossi in place of Raikkonen instead of Bottas. What is more important to F1 and it manufacturers and sponsors, Finland or the USA?
06/23/15 German free-to-air TV channel RTL "recorded nearly 5 million viewers for its broadcast of the Austrian F1 Grand Prix on Sunday," according to the SID. An average of 4.81 million viewers tuned in to watch Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg celebrate his third victory of the season. RTL obtained a market share of 32.7% for its race coverage, which started at 2pm (SID, 6/22).
DWDL's Alexander Krei reported German pay-TV operator Sky drew a record 440,000 viewers for its broadcast of the race, the channel's best viewership of the season. The number translated into a market share of 3.3% in the target demographic 14-49. DWDL
