Chevy Day and Team Chevy Racing Display Return to Indianapolis
Fans visiting IMS for the NASCAR Sprint Cup and XFINITY races will again have the opportunity to experience the Team Chevy Racing Display, filled with show cars, Chevrolet production vehicles, and Chevrolet Performance Parts crate engines, parts and accessories, and participate in autograph and question-and-answer sessions with some of racing’s biggest names during Chevy Day on Friday.
"Chevrolet and Indianapolis Motor Speedway have such a long history together, and we’re looking forward to bringing Chevy Day and the Team Chevy Racing Display back to the famed Brickyard," said Jan Thomas, NASCAR Marketing Manager, Chevy Racing. “There are many things for our fans to see and experience – including getting autographs from their favorite drivers and asking questions during the Q&A."
The Team Chevy Racing Display – where fans can see and learn more about vehicles such as the all-new 2016 Camaro, Cruze, Traverse, Tahoe, Trax, Silverado 2500 and Colorado Z71 – will be located in the infield of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and will be open 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Friday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday. The display will also feature Jeff Gordon’s No. 24 Drive to End Hunger Chevrolet SS, Jimmie Johnson’s No. 48 Lowes Chevrolet SS and Tony Stewart’s No. 14 Mobil 1 Chevrolet SS show cars.
Fans who sign up with Team Chevy will receive a commemorative t-shirt.
Drivers will sign autographs during two separate sessions on Chevy Day, Friday, July 24. To receive an autograph, fans must first obtain a wristband, which will be distributed at the display starting at 9 a.m. on Friday. Each autograph session will be limited to 200 wristbands. Only individuals with a wristband will be able to attend the autograph sessions, which will take place between 11 a.m.-12 p.m.
